WHO IS JESUS?

Listen,

I know the truth, because I live it every day.

You have burdens that are too heavy for you to carry.

I have burdens that are too heavy for me to carry.

And we’ve all been trying to pretend that our shoulders were built for this kind of weight.

We try to be strong.

We try to be silent.

We try to carry the whole world on our own.

But then, the Lord steps in.

And He says something that is both impossible and true:

Lay them on My shoulders.

He is the One they try to define with a list of actions:

• He is the Healer, who opens blind eyes.

• He is the Provider, who feeds the multitude.

• He is the Commander, who stands in the storm and tells the waves to sit down.

• He is the Resurrection and the Life, who calls the dead out of the grave.

They call Him Rabbi.

They call Him Messiah.

They call Him King.

And all of it is true.

He is strong.

He is mighty.

He is unmoved by the chaos of this world.

But if you stop there,

if you only focus on the miracles,

you miss the most powerful part.

You miss the weight.

See, Jesus didn’t move through this world untouched,

He absorbed the pressure.

He carried hunger that wasn’t His.

He carried fear that didn’t belong to Him.

He took on sin and shame that He did not earn.

People pulled on Him.

Crowds pressed in.

They wanted answers.

They wanted proof.

They wanted relief.

And need kept mistaking Him for an endless supply.

And He gave.

Again, and again, and again.

He touched the contaminated.

He stayed when others withdrew.

From the outside, He looked unfazed.

But what we didn’t always see…

was what happened when He turned away.

Not in defeat.

Not in retreat.

But in rhythm.

When the crowds thinned.

When the noise faded.

When the miracles were finished

and the night closed in…

Scripture shows us this:

He withdrew.

Alone.

Kneeling.

Looking up.

Not because He was weak.

No!

The Son who could command legions of angels

still refused to move without permission.

The One strong enough to carry the world

still chose not to carry it alone.

He was modeling dependence.

The power wasn’t the point;

the relationship was the headline.

So if you’re tired right now…

If your shoulders ache from holding things

you were never meant to hold…

Understand this clearly:

You are not failing.

You are simply human.

And Jesus…

The Lion of Judah.

The Prince of Peace.

The Alpha and the Omega.

The Great High Priest.

Jesus…

The Bright and Morning Star.

The Lamb of God.

The Rock of Ages.

The Word Made Flesh.

Jesus…

He showed us the way.

He laid it down.

He stepped back.

He released the gravity.

And if you listen closely,

beyond the sermons,

beyond the noise,

when your thoughts finally stop reaching for the next sound…

You’ll hear it.

Not loud.

Not dramatic.

Just breath.

Just surrender.

Just an exhale…

as the full weight of the world

rolls off His back.

He turns away from the multitude,

looks up to the heavens,

and slips a single word into the dark:

Father…

That is who Jesus is.

The Son who trusted the Father enough

to return the weight of the world

to its rightful center.

And that is our invitation.

Lay it all down.

And whisper a powerful exhale with Him.

Father…

You can whisper his name and he hears it like thunder roaring through the sky…

Father…

FATHER!
